J-PARC mail system application

• The applicant is verified based on the official T2K collaborator list.
  New collaborator should ask the Institutional Board (IB) representative to check if your name is in the list before J-PARC mail system application.

  
  To Institutional Board (IB) representative: If the non-T2K member in your institute needs the J-PARC mail account, please send the identifying information of the applicant and the reason why the J-PARC mail account is necessary to 'JLAN-NU-mgr(_at_)netrino.kek.jp' before the application. Otherwise the application by non-T2K member will be ignored.

JLAN connection

1. Wired connection.

   • General rule on the wired connection in J-PARC network (JLAN).
     • The Ethernet port for each network instrument will be specified. The network port will be assigned when the JLAN application is accepted. It is inhibited to connect the network instrument to the other Ethernet ports.

     • You should specify the building and the room where the PC will be used in JLAN application form. Otherwise, the application will be ignored because the JLAN group manager can not assign the Ethernet port.

     • Please contact KEK staff and ask them before you send the JLAN application to Users Office. Otherwise the HUB manager can not assign the physically appropriate Ethernet port.

     • It is inhibited to connect the Ethernet hub to JLAN without the JLAN application.

     • Please read the note in the JLAN application form very carefully. (The naming rule for the hostname, the format of MAC adress, etc) Otherwise, you may waste your precious time.

     • Before you connect the PC to JLAN, You have to bring it to J-PARC users office and pass the virus-scan check by users office.
