Research field
- (Experimental) Elementary Particle Physics
- (More specifically) Neutrino physics
I have been working since 1999 on the T2K (Tokai-to-Kamioka) experiment,
the next generation long baseline neutrino oscillation experiment, especially on the beamline construction.
The neutrino beam is produced using the 50-GeV
proton accelerator in J-PARC, which is now under construction at Tokai-mura, and detected by the Super-Kmiokande
detector at Hida-city, Gifu. The construction of the beamline will finish in March 2009 and the experiment will start from
April 2009.
